In this enchanting tale of romance and adventure, two men heed the siren song of the sea. Longtime friends Jacques and Enzo have a shared love for the risky activity of free diving and have been close ever since they were kids. Jacques, a professional diver, decided to follow in his father’s footsteps after he died at sea while he was a boy. Scientists are perplexed by Jacques’s extraordinary ability to regulate his breathing and heart rate while underwater, making him look more like a dolphin than a man. Jacques meets Johana, an attractive American insurance investigator, as Enzo convinces him to participate in a free diving contest. The goal of the contest is to see who can dive deeper and for longer without scuba gear. Jacques soon realizes that he must decide between his feelings for Johana and his love for the sea.
